Dr. Mary Jo Maciejewski-Ph.D
Educational Therapy & Enrichment Support

 

Mary Jo Maciejewski, Ph.D. specializes working with students elementary school through graduate school with learning differences by adapting classroom material using the student’s strengths and education techniques to help the student discover their best learning methods. This may include content assistance, learning and studying techniques, and organizational practices. Dr. Maciejewski’s content focus is math, science, engineering and computer science. Clients have mentioned that she is the only educational specialist/tutor that has been able to "get through" or relate to their student. 

 

Dr. Maciejewski also offers enrichment training in areas that are outside the normal classroom realm including introduction to technical fields, engineering, robotics, and programming in either a one-on-one or small group sessions.  Programs are designed depending on the needs of the student, or students, to either be adaptive lessons over a few sessions, or supportive lessons that keep the student on task over the school year and/or summer.

 

Dr. Maciejewski received her Ph.D. from Marquette University and the Medical College of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in Biomedical Engineering and Medical Physics.  She started her career in academic research along with teaching at the college level, then she taught science, computer science, and robotics at both private and public middle schools and high schools in Houston area prior to working in private practice as an educational therapist.  Dr. Maciejewski stays active in the community enjoying the arts, theater, playing soccer, and exploring the trails with her dog, Chloe.
